The Last Sheepdog (Ludum Dare 43)  Click Here to Play

The Last Sheepdog is a very short puzzle game that attempts to merge two ideas.  ‘Sacrifices must be made’ was the theme for the jam, and I joined that with my new obsession with a game about playing a sheepdog and herding sheep.  This was made in under 6 hours, and I’m very proud of it.

This was my first game in a few years, and was my first game jam entry ever.  I had a lot of fun, and pushed myself to not only learn a new engine (Game Maker Studio 2) but also just how to program a platformer and a shooter in one go.  This idea had enough of a response and I had enough fun making it that I decided to dedicate the next year or so fleshing it out.  You can follow my progress over on twitter @evantor.

‘Fun game; interesting mechanics. Good difficulty curve to slowly introduce mechanics.’ – Whirlwind
